Why are we starting this nonprofit farm?

At the heart of this effort is our commitment to grow food for our neighbors who are experiencing hunger and food insecurity. “In Virginia’s George Washington region, which includes Stafford County, Spotsylvania County, Caroline County, King George’s County, and the City of Fredericksburg, more than 23,000 people experience food insecurity. Food insecurity is a lack of consistent access to enough food. Many residents also suffer from nutrition insecurity, which is the inability to access enough nutritious food for their overall health and well-being.”
